Summer Heat Is Dangerous Inside Your European Automobile

We are serious here at RSW European Auto Repair. The heat inside your European automobile in the summer is fatal. This is why you should never leave humans or pets in the vehicle, even for a brief period of time. You can reduce the heat inside your car to make it less miserable when you get into it, but the reduction will not be enough to make it safe. Let’s talk about summer heat in your European automobile below.

Choose Shade

We know that an obvious solution is to park in a shady spot, but sometimes it’s hard to find a spot that has a tree in front of it. This is when you search for alternatives, such as a parking garage open to the public that is close by. Anytime you can park in the shade or in a garage, make sure to do so to reduce the temperature inside your European automobile by a few degrees.

Create Shade

If there is no shade to be found, you can create it to help reduce the heat inside the vehicle. Put a windshield shade in the windshield and secure it with the visors. Put shades in the windows that you can pull down when you are driving. You can also put a shade in the rear window if your European automobile is not equipped with an automatic one.

Cover Up

Even with the vehicle shaded, the seat, steering wheel, and vehicle controls can get really hot in the summer. Keep the sun off of them by covering them with rags or towels. It doesn’t take long to throw the rags down on top of your European automobile’s interior so that you don’t scald yourself when you get into the vehicle.

Ventilate

Using ventilation can also bring the temperature down another few degrees. Crack the windows of the European automobile to allow air to flow through them. Heat rises, so it’s also a good idea to crack the sunroof or moonroof so the hot air can lift out of the inside of the vehicle.

Maintain

Finally, if you keep your European automobile maintained properly, you should have no problem cooling down the interior quickly with the air conditioner. In addition, the engine should be able to handle the summer heat because there is plenty of fresh coolant circulating through it.
